Ashley Torres

Co-President

Hi! I'm Ashley, a second-year majoring in anthropology at CSULB. I’ve been in the club for two years now and it’s been one of the biggest highlights of my college experience so far. I’m super intrigued by learning about everything and others, as knowledge is something that no one can ever take from you. And I’m also very passionate about music, creativity and self-expression. Other than that, I'm looking forward to having an amazing year and am excited to meet new faces!

Jeremiah Sabale

Co-President

Hi everyone! I'm Jeremiah, a  second-year majoring in psychology at CSULB. I've been part of the Musical Meditation Club on campus ever since my first year. I enjoy music and playing music, and I was fascinated by the idea of Musical Meditation, so I joined the club. I have enjoyed it since then! Also, I learned a lot from the meditation philosophy discussed and from the people in the club who come from different backgrounds and bring in their various points of view. I'm always glad to meet new people––this club is fantastic!

Juanita Olaya

Vice President | Head of Marketing

Hi there! I'm Juanita, an international student from Colombia majoring in Marketing at CSULB. This would be considered the beginning of my fourth year. I’ve been part of the club ever since I transferred from Santa Monica College in the fall of 2021, and through being part of it, I’ve been able to find great people that have become not only my friends, but my teachers. I’m passionate about yoga, music, photography and visual art. Apart from working on my degree, I’m also pursuing a yoga teacher certification. I’m eager for another year of learning and sharing alongside all the wonderful people in this club :). I can’t wait to meet you!

Priscilla Bueno

Music and Meditation Director

Hello friends :)! I'm Priscilla, a fourth-year transfer student working toward a degree in interior architecture at CSULB. I joined the Musical Meditation Club in the fall of 2021 in hopes of finding a sense of harmony with people who share the same value of self-exploration. Fortunately, this club was everything I expected and more. Not only did it give me the space to share what I love doing, but it has also given me the chance to truly feel seen and heard for who I am. The amount of compassion and acceptance that this club offers is one that cannot go unnoticed––and I'm grateful to be a part of it.

Deva Darshana

Alumni Advisor

Great to see you here! I’m Deva, a sales and marketing professional, and a meditation practitioner for the last 12 plus years. I also graduated from CSULB with a degree in investment finance. Through my studies, I’m uniquely positioned to combine my knowledge of business, basic human psychology and spirituality into this role. I’m fascinated by asking deeper questions to get to better know ourselves. I believe learning about spirituality can help us create deeper and more meaningful relationships, develop more conscious questions, and lead to more critical and thought-provoking answers when it comes to facing the struggles of modern life.
